We are already excited for Valentine’s Day in our class! I thought I would touch base before you start writing Valentine’s cards. Please do not address cards to each student. Please write:
To My Friend
your child’s name
We will be having a small party. You may send in treats if you would like, however please make sure they are nut free.
On a different note, the class has shown interest in turning our dramatic play into a Valentine’s Day Store. If you have any empty boxes of chocolates, fake flowers or anything related to Valentine’s Day we would love donations!
We were so fortunate yesterday to have not 1 not 2 but 3 police officers from the Hamilton Police Department AND Chase the police dog. We were very proud of the way the student’s listened so attentively, asked thoughtful questions and were very polite.
Here are some great pictures!
A big thank you to Mrs. Fyfe for organizing this and for all you do!
Tomorrow we will be a having a surprise visitor in our classroom. We feel it is important to le you know this surprise visitor may be bringing a dog. This dog works in a professional capacity(in the community). We understand that this may cause some anxiety and we will do our best to make sure no one is scared
Thank you 🙂
This week we have had a number of kids off sick. We appreciate those parents who are keeping kids home. We are asking that if your child has a fever or was throwing up in the night, please keep them home. We understand this can be inconvenient and we cannot tell you to keep them home, however it is unfair to both your child and the class to be exposed to that.
Happy New Year!
I thought I was so organized before Christmas preparing the VIP but in the end I forgot to hand it out (oops!).
Please disregard the posting from yesterday….I will change the dates for some students and send it out tonight!
With regard to home reading, we will start Monday. I have been assessing the SK’s and will be changing their home reading levels.
Thanks so much!
